Back in the heady days of 2010 and 2011, at the height of a major life crisis of mine, I kept a blog entitled “It’s Late in the Day” (a nod to the Supergrass song). I actually thought I’d kept said blog going for much longer than that, but apparently not. Anyway, in that two-odd-year run I posted quite a bit, then completely abandoned it and, inexplicably, switched it to private. So, yeah, that old blog has been sat there collecting dust for twelve years, so I decided to merge it with The Salad of Convenience to give any current or future readers a little history, especially of a very significant/difficult time of my life.
Hopefully there will be some levity in there too, as I always try to crowbar into my posts. Humour is the best medicine, after all!
I’ve not read through any of those old posts myself yet, although I’m guessing my spelling and grammar was a lot worse than it is now. I’d like to think my dear departed ex taught me a lot before her sad passing last year. There will be a lot of romantic gushing about her in there too, just a head’s up.
Anyway, just thought I’d drop this VITAL information before heading off to bed in a possibly-futile attempt to sleep.
Do stay in touch, darlings.
Toodles!
