It’s raining outside. That cosy, smooth, consistent rain that’s nice to listen to. Unfortunately, I’m concerned it’ll flood my shopping as the delivery dude brings it to my building. But that’s a couple of hours off yet. Perhaps the rain will stop.
I’m feeling in the midst of a low mood attack. It seemed to start last night as I was lying in bed listening to stuff. One second I was laughing at a podcast, the next I felt persecuted and was questioning every decision I’d ever made.
Thanks, brain.
So, to cut a long story short, I’m not sure I’m going to be able to stay off the booze until New Year’s Eve. I could start now, as I have a couple of beers and most of a party box of Shiraz left in the cupboard, but I think I can manage until after the shopping arrives.
I might check the credit on my electricity meter first though. I don’t want to be lying in bed tomorrow morning with a hideous hangover and suddenly hear the damn thing beeping at me to be fed.
Can you imagine me being a parent?! Good grief. I actually have nightmares sometimes about having a pet but neglecting it due to my alcoholism. Yeah, it’s probably best that I’m not put in charge of anything or anyone.
Like… ever.
The life I have now is all I deserve. Nobody around to hurt, except for myself.
I’m watching some Family Guy to keep myself buoyant, although it’s having to work overtime. I’ve got hardboiled eggs in the fridge to snack on (I had nothing to eat them with, so thought this would be a good way to avoid waste). I slept from about 11 pm till 4 am, which is about standard for me at the moment. I’ve officially ran out of coffee, but more is coming in the shopping. A portion of that homemade vindaloo is defrosting on the counter. The building’s quiet, although “Angry Game Boy” left the building around 5 am-ish. I’m still not sure where he goes.
Perhaps he’s a serial killer.
Hmmm…
Anyway, I’ll let y’all know how things go. I’m sure I’ll be able to get more booze in for NYE, should it all get used up today.
We shall see.
Do stay in touch, darlings.
Toodles!
