So it’s that b.s. day again. Boy, how time does drag this time of year. I’ve got booze arriving Wednesday, but I’m not sure it’ll stay safe until New Year’s Eve. I shall try my best though. I’ve got to dig out the Star Trek TOS film boxset too, as that’s what I’m planning on watching while I count down to midnight.
I ordered a Chinese takeaway last night, as I really didn’t have anything fancy in the house to eat. Now I have leftovers. I was going to defrost a portion of that homemade Portuguese Pork Vindaloo, but I want to add fresh cream to it this time, so it’ll have to wait for Wednesday’s shopping.
I’ve dug out all my classic Hollywood historical epics to watch over the next few days. I’ve put them all in order of real-life chronology, just to be a total nerd. Therefore, unless my cyclothymia lays out new rules for me, I shall be watching:
Land of the Pharaohs
The Ten Commandments
The Egyptian
Spartacus
Cleopatra
Life of Brian
Ben-Hur
Quo Vidas
The Fall of the Roman Empire
El Cid
Yup, it’s gonna be a looong week.
Still, it’s not like I have anything better to do. I’m still off my guitar playing and doing… well… anything. Sobriety does require a fair amount of tending to, I’m afraid. Alcoholism just requires moving a glass to your mouth and lying in bed shaking with paranoia.
Good times.
Yeah, so that’s that. I hope you all have had some cool presents, if you have people close to you to give you some. If not, then do drop by and we can get drunk together. I’m sure I’ll be able to source some booze somehow.
Right, I’m one epic down, so now it’s time to watch the story of one of the greatest work disputes in history… The Ten Commandments!
Do stay in touch, little helpers.
Baubles!
