Eve-eve

Most of the DVDs I ordered just before Christmas remarkably turned up yesterday, so I’m taking a break from my classic Hollywood epics to watch some of them. I did start The 7th Voyage of Sinbad earlier, but my DTs couldn’t cope with some of the intense weirdness going on, so now I’m on Wolfgang Petersen’s Director’s Cut of Troy. I’m rooting for the attackers, as they have the awesome Brian Cox on their side. I can’t help but smile every time he’s on camera. The defenders have Orlando Bloom, so I’m happy if they all die.

They do, right?

Well, the thousand ships have already turned up on the shores of Asia Minor around the 45 minute mark, so goodness know what the other 3 hours are going to be about. Just so long as Bloom gets his head cleaved in asap, I’ll be happy.

Oh yeah, as hinted above, I did crack on the booze-side. I’m having a day off today, but will hit it again just before midnight tomorrow. I’ll be watching the Shatner Star Trek movies all day, so I need to get my hot booty out of bed around midday. I was going to just watch, what I call, “The David Trilogy” (II, III, and VI), but then I thought “Oh sod it!”.

I even enjoy V more than most people. It certainly has one of the most Star Trek-like plots out of all of them.

Nothing particularly exciting happened during my binge. Very little usually does nowadays. Swearing off pubs and the outside world in general has taken care of that.

I did download Rainbow Six: Siege for the first time in months. I do enjoy joking with other players in the chat (so long as they’re friendly), but I think my eyesight has deteriorated to the point where I really shouldn’t play it anymore. It’s not fair on the other players. Not that I should give a flying fuck about 90% of them. Dickheads. GTA Online is still covered in snow, which I find unplayable. I’ll have to wait until after New Year’s Day until it goes.

I hope.

I’ve been takeawaying a lot, food-wise. Can’t say I’m feeling particularly inspired in the kitchen. That homemade vindaloo isn’t very rewarding on return visits. I think I’m just not a fan of wine as a sauce-base, ironically. Hmmm. Maybe I’ll tinker with the recipe a bit.

Well, I best go back to my beefcake-athon. Plus Orlando Bloom.

Fucksakes.

Do stay in touch, darlings.

Toodles!
