I think I’ve emerged out of my bottomless pit of despair a little, thanks to that history professor I’ve been getting into. I’ve finished three of his lectures, so now I reckon I’ll buy one of his actual book-books. In audiobook format. I get my monthly Audible credit later on today, so that’s something fun to look forward to. I’m glad I’ve finally gotten into ancient Greece, as it was an area of history I kept having trouble focussing on for the longest time. I don’t know why. Perhaps it’s due to the tongue-twisting people and place names.
The third lecture was actually The History of Ancient Israel, which is a subject that always sends a shadow over my heart, thanks to the endless conflict in that region of the world. Oh how Western Europe and North America have fucked things up over there. It’s also such a depressingly intractable dispute. They’ll probably be fighting over it until there are just two humans left. And the Quickening, of course. But, hey, wherever there are bloodthirsty imperialists with delusions of grandeur arguing over who’s invisible space wizard is better, we’ll never have peace.
Anywhere.
Politics!
Anyway, I’ve still got nothing planned for Monday, but I intend to keep it that way. I’m still trying to avoid booze until New Year’s Eve, as loneliness, Christmas, and alcohol make a bad combination. Or maybe an all-too-good combination. Hmmm. So, yeah, I’m going to try and put in a grocery order for tomorrow, if I can snatch up a slot when they post extra ones later in the day. There will be lots of cream-based ready meals, cheese, and chocolate on my order
That lesbo friend who got back in touch sent me a card in the post, so I should probably thank her for that. Mum usually sends one too, but I don’t think she even remembers who I am anymore. Best thing for everyone, I say. My middle brother texted me last night, but the as-always brief conversation ended when he lazily hearted one of my replies, rather than actually saying something. Sigh. What’s the point. I’m not even worth an emoji, apparently.
I’ve just about finished the Modern Family boxset (well, the part I find watchable, that is), so am trying to decide which one to dust off next. I might go for one of the Seth MacFarlane series, as I think I need his brand of humour this week more than ever. I’ve ordered those Sinbad (the sailor) films and some others, so goodness knows when they’ll arrive. Maybe between Boxing Day and NYE.
I’m tempted to order a takeaway tonight, then keep the leftovers in the fridge to have as a treat on Monday. Saying that, I do have a lot of eggs to use up. I’ll probably just have a ham, egg, and chips binge. Sometimes, the simplest dishes are the best.
Turns out the “miserable” weather I mentioned in my last post was actually a violent storm that was on the news a lot. Thought there was something going on out there. Meh, it’s best to stay away from the news anyway. The tsunami will come, whether some arrogant London journalist tells me about it first or not.
Get off my lawn!
What else? Uhhh, nothing really. My sleep pattern’s been better, I must say, which is a relief. Sex drive’s pretty good, although I’ve not had any extreme masturbation sessions. I did manage to achieve a “no-hands cum” earlier, which is exactly what it sounds like. Quite impressive, for me. I seem to be into heterosexual orgy videos this week.
It’s always good to have a bit of class!
So, yeah, that’s that for now. I’ll chime in again, should something out of the blue happen.
Now that would be a Christmas miracle.
Do stay in touch, little helpers.
Baubles!
